What are free radicals?

What are antioxidants?

What are endogenous antioxidants?

Endogenous antioxidants are those that are manufactured normally by the human body. This is one of the differences setting the Thione Complex™ apart from other supplements. By replenishing the body's defenses with its blend of endogenous antioxidants, Thione provides health benefits without any detrimental side affects.

What is L-glutathione?

L-glutathione (GSH) is the body's chief antioxidant and works synergistically with other antioxidants to combat free radical damage. GSH levels inside cells must be maintained in order to have healthy cells and a strong defense system - our bodies would die without glutathione. Much of GSH is supplied mainly from fruits, vegetables, liver, meats, fowl and fish, however most people do not replenish their systems with enough GSH to combat outside pollutants. Glutathione is vital in the regeneration of other antioxidants, such as vitamin C and E, from their oxidative state. But even Glutathione cannot stand alone, it needs the proper antioxidant partners to help keep the cycle going, to regenerate glutathione once it has been “spent” in the process of neutralizing free radicals.

What is Selenium?

Selenium is a critical trace mineral in the body. This nutrient is an imperative part of antioxidant enzymes, particularly glutathione peroxidase, that protect cells against the effects of free radicals produced during normal oxygen metabolism. Selenium is also essential for normal functioning of the immune system and thyroid gland.
